Mutations returns with an extended headline set from one of NYC’s finest – Andi.
Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets. Her aesthetic is body music based. A devotee of distinct sounds such as EBM, New Beat and Italo; she cultivates an intoxicating dancefloor flow regularly appearing at Ombra Festival, Fold and Nowadays to name a few. As the boss of Synthicide – the internationally known party and label – she has cultivated the dark underground scene of Brooklyn for over a decade.
Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of traditionally masculine dance genres. With bassline heavy grooves and a focus on storytelling, Andi adds a wry yet delicate touch to machine dance music.
Joining her as our special guest will be Yorkshire based Shona B. Shona has a distinct taste for the obscure, brooding and suggestive gems we love; regularly playing the best in Post Punk, Acid mutations, Kraut and EBM via her residency on NARR Radio. She’s recently appeared playing out both this and the other side of the Pennines, putting in standout sets at Drum Machine, Club Cosmos, The NARR/Mutant Radio summer social and Positive Harmony.
