On Friday 17th Feb Selectors Support are taking over The Eagle Inn for a DJ workshop, Q&A and performances, spotlighting some organisations that have shaped celebratory spaces for femme and queer communities!
We’re hosting a DJ workshop from 6-7 for beginners wanting to give spinning a try! If anyone really takes to it, there’s the potential for some slots at our events in the future 🙂
Then from 7-9 we’re going to be having some conversations with a few collectives who are carving out inclusive ecosystems within Manchester’s party scene.
We want to discuss how we create inclusive spaces within Manchester nightlife and beyond. What works, what doesn’t, and how DJs, dancers, club owners and promoters can create more approachable and welcoming spaces for everyone!
Our aim is to have drawn up a lil manifesto by the end of the evening, with some thoughts and feelings about how Manchester’s nightlife can be improved.
Finally, from 9-10 one of our finest DJs Maracuya will showcase some silly selections to round off the event with a boogie <3
But wait! The night doesn’t have to end there… Our pals at Time Flies will be taking over the space from 10-4.30 with some rolling and infectious rhythms to keep you moving till the wee hours 😀 Tickets for this event are available via RA.
