August 11th sees Hip Hop turning 50 years old, after DJ Kool Herc famously held his first Hip Hop jam at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx back in ’73. To celebrate that day and 50 years of amazing music since, ‘Whaddyagot’ will be an all day event, featuring an array of excellent selectors playing a soundtrack of Hip Hop’s Golden Era and beyond, along with the original source of the genre: The Breaks, Soul, Funk & Jazz Fusion. We will also have live Graffiti artists spraying outside the venue from 3pm onwards and it’s FREE ENTRY all day. Bring yer lino for this one!
